Our approach

Ayurveda — an ancient way to understand wellbeing

Indisky Herbs describes itself as an Ayurvedic products company producing and supplying herbal medicines. The original site introduces Ayurveda as a natural system that originated in India more than 3,000 years ago.

The word Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit words ayur, meaning life, and veda, meaning knowledge. Its traditional perspective considers a person in relation to body, mind, spirit and environment, and includes practices such as diet, herbal remedies, oils, massage, yoga and meditation.

Our website presents a focused range of six Indisky Herbs products. Product ingredients, quantities and directions vary, so please review the packaging for the specific product you are considering.

Health information: Traditional wellness information is not a medical diagnosis or a substitute for professional care. Speak with a qualified health professional about your health and any product use.

Traditional concepts, including the doshas

The Indisky Herbs About page describes three traditional energy types, or doshas. In that framework, Vata is associated with movement, Pitta with metabolic processes, and Kapha with growth and structure. These are concepts from traditional Ayurveda, not a clinical assessment or a diagnosis.

Use with care

The original site advises discussing Ayurvedic treatments with a doctor. Consult a physician or pharmacist before using a supplement, especially if you take medicines, have a health condition, are pregnant or nursing, or are considering a product for a child. Do not delay professional care for urgent symptoms.
